RUR World University Rankings
Round University Ranking (RUR) is an international ranking published by the RUR Ranking Agency which was founded in 2013 in Moscow. The ranking is based on the data provided by Clarivate Analytics. Performance of HEIs is evaluated by 20 indicators grouped into 4 key areas of university activity: Teaching, Research, International Diversity, Financial Sustainability.
This year TUL has been classified in the RUR World University Rankings for the first time. Harvard University opens the ranking list fourth time in a row. TOP 10 includes other four American universities, four British HEIs and ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).
Over 800 universities from 70 countries have been classified in the ranking, including 6 Polish HEIs. The University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University have done the best and have been ranked 389 and 392. Other Polish universities are classified between 500 and 700.
On 29th June RUR Rankings Agency in partnership with Clarivate Analytics announced their release of RUR Subject Rankings 2020. Lodz University of Technology appeared in 2 out of 6 subjects: Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences.
In Natural Sciences ranking 711 universities have been ranked, including 6 Polish HEIs. University of Warsaw and Jagiellonian University have performed the best and have been ranked 246 and 314. Warsaw University of Technology has been included in Copper League (494th place) and Lodz University of Technology has been ranked 601. American universities open the ranking list, TOP3 includes: Stanford University, Princeton University, California Institute of Technology.
In Technical Sciences performance of 757 universities has been evaluated, including 4 HEIs from Poland - University of Warsaw (197), Warsaw University of Technology (396), Lodz University of Technology (525) and Gdansk University of Technology (533). University of Oxford opens the ranking list, the second place goes to California Institute of Technology and University of Cambridge closes TOP3.
