Times Higher Education World University Ranking
In 2017, Lodz University of Technology took part for the first time in the international university ranking – Times Higher Education World University Ranking, which is one of the most recognizable and valued rankings in the world. It is created in cooperation with the Thomson Reuters Agency. The ranking includes 13 indicators constituting 5 categories: teaching (weight 30%), research (weight 30%), citations (weight 30%), economy revenues (weight 2.5%) and internationalisation (weight 7.5%).
12 Polish universities were classified in THE 2018 and THE 2019 rankings, and 14 in THE 2020 ranking. Lodz University of Technology was ranked 1000+. In 2018, our University also took part in the ranking by subject and in the new ranking measuring the level of innovativeness of the University.
Lodz University of Technology was also classified in THE New Europe ranking, which includes the best universities from 13 countries that joined the European Union after 2004. The ranking includes the largest number of universities from the Czech Republic (13), but Poland follows them closely with 12 classified universities. The same Polish universities were classified in the ranking of THE Emerging Economies University. Compared to other Polish universities, Lodz University of Technology achieved good results as regards the industrial income index.
