In Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering, 9 Polish universities have been ranked, with TUL classified in the range 401-450. In Chemistry, TUL has been classified between 551 and 600, with 8 more Polish HEIs ranked in this subject. In Materials Science, TUL has been ranked in the range 351-400, 7 other Polish universities have been ranked.
QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 takes into 54 subjects, grouped into five broad subject areas. A total of nearly 1,600 universities from around the world have been ranked in the listings. The ranking considers 5 indicators, with different weights assigned, depending on the subject. These are two reputation indicators (academic reputation and employer reputation), Research citations per paper, H-index, and IRN-index (reflecting the ability of institutions to diversify the geography of their international research network by establishing sustainable research partnerships with other HEIs).
