On December 5, 2025, Lodz University of Technology hosted the EQUNI Final Conference, marking the successful conclusion of a three-year project dedicated to fostering emotional intelligence and combating discrimination in European higher education.

The event opened with remarks from Vice-Rector Andrzej Romanowski, highlighting the importance of inclusive initiatives in technical universities. Project Coordinator Dorota Piotrowska presented EQUNI’s key achievements, including the EQUNI Game and App, and learning activities which resulted in the issuance of micro-credentials - in line with EU policy and TUL’s new procedures.

Highlights included a lecture by Alexandra Gomes (University of Algarve) on discrimination, interactive workshops on emotional intelligence, gamified learning, and empathy-building through disability simulations as well as two engaging panels with project partners and business representatives, and. The first panel – hosted by Dorota Piotrowska - featured representatives from University of Groningen (Jan Riezebos), SumFuo (Nicolas Schaeffer), and Team Coaching (Rafał Nykiel), who shared the project’s impact within their institutions and reflected on their personal journeys throughout the collaboration. The second panel, moderated by Magdalena Hebdowska - President of TUL’s IFE Alumni Association, brought together business leaders to discuss the growing importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace.

Over 60 participants joined on-site, making the event a truly collaborative experience.
