At the beginning of December, the EUREKA project team – “Global Challenges, Local Solutions: Shaping Future Leaders through Knowledge and Innovation” - held a meeting at the International Cooperation Centre. The event brought together representatives of Lodz University of Technology (TUL) and partners from Avantika University (India), University Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia), and Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Papua New Guinea).
The aim of the meeting was to summarise the activities completed so far and to plan the next stages of the Intensive International Education Programme “The Europe Ready Challenge”, which will combine online classes with a three-week stay of students from partner institutions in Lodz. Based on the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) methodology, the programme will allow participants to gain practical skills by solving real-world problems in collaboration with local companies.
During the meeting, the potential of Lodz University of Technology and the partner institutions was presented, along with an overview of the CBL methodology, the programme’s key assumptions, and issues related to student recruitment and mobility arrangements.
The EUREKA project, implemented under the NAWA SPINAKER programme, aims to enhance the quality of education at Lodz University of Technology and increase the university’s attractiveness to international students, particularly from the Asia and Oceania region. Through innovative approaches and international cooperation, participants will acquire competencies valued on the global labour market, and the micro-credentials they obtain will enrich their educational and professional portfolios.
The project is implemented under the SPINAKER programme which is financed from the European Fund for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) as part of the NAWA project entitled "Support for the creation and implementation of international education programs", project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0436/23.
