A key highlight of the visit was the official launch of the ACE Alliance, a European network bringing together universities and organisations committed to strengthening community engagement in higher education. During the event, partners presented new project outcomes, including the ACE Platform and the Guide to Forming University-Community Alliances, designed to support effective collaboration between universities and their external stakeholders.
Representing Lodz University of Technology, dr inż. Dorota Piotrowska, TUL professor delivered a keynote presentation on the strategic importance of community engagement from an institutional perspective.
The launch event attracted participants from across Europe, demonstrating growing interest in strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions and the communities they serve. In the coming months, ACE partners will continue expanding the network and implementing pilot activities aimed at fostering meaningful university-community collaboration.
