New Years Eve on new rules

New Year's Eve is a special day of the year. Each of us wants to spend it with friends and family. In the current situation however, all types of events and gatherings create extremely dangerous conditions for further transmission of the coronavirus. Consequently, they are very dangerous for us and our loved ones. Therefore, stay at home and do not organize parties and social meetings outside of the household. Like many other European countries, Poland also introduces restrictions on this day. From December 31, 2020 to January 1, 2021, from 7 pm to 6 am, movement is prohibited throughout the country. The exception will be, among others, necessary official activities and other activities indicated in the regulation.

New security rules - from December 28 to January 17

The liability phase is extended and additional restrictions are introduced. All this to stop COVID-19 transmission and get back to normal as soon as possible. The new safety rules will apply from December 28, 2020 to January 17, 2021, i.e. until the end of the school break. What will change?

  • Another limitation in the functioning of shopping malls - remain open: grocery stores, shops with books and newspapers, drugstores, pharmacies, hairdressing and beauty salons, as well as free-standing large-area furniture stores
  • Limiting the functioning of hotels - available to uniformed services, medics, patients of specialized hospitals, COS centers. Staff hotels are also an exception.
  • Closed ski slopes
  • Sports infrastructure available only as part of professional sports
  • 10-day quarantine for people coming to Poland with organized transport

The existing rules and restrictions are extended:

  • It is forbidden to move under the age of 16 without the care of a parent or legal guardian from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm (day camps are an exception)
  • Restrictions on public transport:

- 50% of the number of seats, or

- 30% of all seating and standing positions, while at least 50% of the seats are vacant in the vehicle.

  • Restrictions in places of religious worship - max. 1 person / 15m2
  • Participation in meetings - max. 5 people
  • Ban on weddings, communions and parties
  • Closed gyms, fitness clubs and aquaparks
  • Restriction in shops - max. 1 person / 15m2
  • Hours for seniors - from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 12 pm
  • Closed restaurants. Meals only to take away or delivery
  • Nurseries and kindergartens remain unchanged
  • Hairdressing and beauty salons operate in a sanitary regime

Other restrictions that were in force are extended.

Healthy and safe Christmas

There is Christmas before us, which has always been a time of meetings with family and friends. This year, however, will differ from those from previous years. The coming days are a test of responsibility for all. Let's make waiting for COVID-19 vaccinations safe for us and our loved ones. Follow the applicable restrictions - spend the holidays with your household members, do not organize large meetings. Please note that there is a limit to the number of guests you can invite - this is a maximum of 5 guests in total, except for permanent residents.
