Our University achieved a notable success by debuting in two new categories: Electrical & Electronic Engineering (#401–450) and Mathematics (#501–600).

Another highlight for TUL is its rise in Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering, where it advanced to the #351–400 band (improving on last year’s position of #401–450). A total of nine Polish universities were recognised in this category.

TUL also maintained strong positions in Materials Science (#351–400) and Chemistry (#601–700). In both categories, 10 Polish universities were included.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 feature 55 individual subjects across five broad subject areas. The ranking considers five indicators - two reputation indicators (academic reputation and employer reputation), two bibliometric indicators (research citations per paper, H-index) and IRN-index, an indicator reflecting the university's ability to diversify the geography of its international research network by establishing sustainable research partnerships with other higher education institutions.

The QS ranking remains one of the most highly regarded evaluations of higher education worldwide. In this year’s edition, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) analysed data from 6,277 institutions, of which 1,912 were ultimately ranked.
