The places on the podium have been taken by Western Sydney University (Australia, 1st place in the 2022 edition), University of Manchester (UK, up from 9th place) and Queen's University (Canada, up from 7th place). The UK is the most-represented country in the top 100 with 26 institutions, followed by Australia with 16 and Canada with 15.

The ranking includes 24 Polish universities (15 in the previous edition), of which one has not been classified in the overall ranking. The University of Gdańsk, Jagiellonian University and Krakow University of Economics have been ranked in the 401-600 range, while Lodz University of Technology, Gdańsk University of Technology, Warsaw University, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and WSB Academy – between 601 and 800. Four Polish universities have been ranked in the 801 – 1000 range, and another eleven - in the 1001+ position.

Lodz University of Technology has performed very well in SDG 8. Decent work and economic growth and SDG 17. Partnership for the goals. In SDG 8 it has been ranked 1st in the country (ex aequo with the Krakow University of Economics and the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences) and in the global TOP 200. TUL has also taken part in SDG 3. Good health and well-being, SDG 9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure and SDG 10. Reduced inequalities.

THE Impact Ranking takes into account the university's activities toward the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that form the basis of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for a Sustainable Development. Within these 17 goals, the Agenda sets 169 tasks to be achieved worldwide by 2030. The are focused on five areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet (so-called 5Ps): people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership.

Hochschule Esslingen, University of Applied Sciences invites academic staff to join the International Teaching Week, which is held from 27 November until 1 December 2023.

International Teaching Week focuses on networking, academic exchange and gaining international experience. Participants will have the opportunity to hold and attend lectures. In addition, Esslingen University provides a lively cultural programme.

Universidad Politécnica de Madrid invites teaching and non-teaching staff to the 17th UPM International Staff Week which will be held in Madrid from 3 to 7 July 2023. 

During this event participants will get the chance to meet with UPM internationalization staff and visit UPM schools and facilities to learn about their activities and services, exchange ideas and experience Spanish language and culture.

Icam Strasbourg-Europe Campus invites university staff to take part in the Lean Management training, held in Strasbourg, France from July 3-7, 2023.

The training is directed to both academic and administrative staff and includes theoretical and practical classes. Participation in the event is also a great opportunity to get to know Icam Strasbourg-Europe Campus better. To cover the costs, the Erasmus+ grant for Staff Mobility for Training can be used.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki invites you to  its 12th Erasmus Staff Training Week which will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece from the 16th till the 20th of October 2023.

The main purpose of the Erasmus Staff Training Week held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is to widen and strengthen the cooperation with partner institutions, share  different experiences on internationalization and facilitate networking and establishment of new partnerships. Participants will be given the opportunity to exchange ideas about fostering student and staff mobility, present their home universities, explore and discuss special topics of interest.

Registration is already opened and lasts till 18th of August, 2023.

The summer school will concern Polish-German economic relations, social policy, financial economy, inflation, energy, etc. and is addressed to students from Germany and Poland.

Date: from 03/09 to 15/09/2023. in Warsaw at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Students of bachelor's and master's studies of all German and Polish universities can participate.

Participation cost 850 Euro (including breakfast, lunch, 3-day trip to Krakow, German language course) for up to 8 participants will be covered by the Sanddorf Foundation + 50 Euro for partial accommodation costs. Representatives of all partners came to Łódź – University of Algarve (Portugal), University of Groningen (The Netherlands), SumFuo (France) and Team Coaching (Poland) – to officially initiate the project „Implementation of effective practices for the development of students' emotional intelligence with particular emphasis on anti-discrimination activities at European universities”.

On behalf of TUL, the work of the consortium is coordinated by the Director of the ICC - dr inż. Dorota Piotrowska, university professor.

The participants discussed the assumptions of the project, planned activities to be implemented in the near future and established the principles of cooperation. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to get to know each other and integrate the team, which until now communicated only online.

The main objective of the project is to improve the emotional intelligence of students in order to combat discrimination and ensure equality in European universities.

The consortium will jointly develop the EQUNI game and mobile application, a procedure and online tools for granting micro-credentials, and a guide for universities in implementing good practices.

EQUNI is aimed at students, academic teachers, trainers, mentors, psychologists and advisors, university authorities and managers responsible for developing and implementing anti-discrimination policy.

The project will include a series of trainings, workshops and summer schools for target groups.

The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ Program within Action 2.

ICC obtained funding for its implementation in the amount of EUR 400,000.
