Due to the organisation of the Mobility Week 2023, the office of the Staff Mobility Division will be closed on Thursday, November 23.

The event was a significant step forward in the pursuit of international collaboration to tackle discrimination in the academic world and promote equality at European universities.

The meeting brought together representatives from all diverse institutions involved in the project, creating a vibrant and dynamic environment for the exchange of ideas. The discussions centered around achievements to date, lessons learned from the survey on discrimination held in partner universities and the next steps in the collaborative journey of the consortium.

The highlight of the programme was the conceptual work on an EQUNI board game. This educational tool will help shape the player's emotional intelligence, raise awareness of the phenomenon of discrimination and foster empathy towards the needs of others.

The meeting was attended by representatives of all EQUNI partners – Lodz University of Technology, University of Algarve (Portugal), University of Groningen (Netherlands), SumFuo (France) and Team Coaching (Poland). The consortium is coordinated by dr inż. Dorota Piotrowska, TUL professor - Director of the ICC.

This year, Mobility Week returns in the fall season, and the agenda includes many attractions for the entire academic community.

Students can enjoy, among others, meetings at faculties, quizes and breakfasts prepared by foreign students. On November 21 (Tuesday) from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the ICC building will also host an Erasmus Café - an event integrating students who have already participated in the Erasmus+ programme and those who are considering participating in foreign mobility. All this in a relaxed atmosphere with sweet treats.

A day later, also in the ICC building (9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.), those interested in international volunteering will be able to visit the information stand of the European Solidarity Corps - a programme for young people who want to take part in solidarity activities in various areas - from helping the disabled, health and environmental actions, through to humanitarian aid across the EU and beyond.

We also strongly encourage you to visit the ParkCafe mobile cafe - coffee truck, which will be stationed in various places on campuses A and B throughout the week.

This is where you will be able to obtain detailed information about foreign mobility offered under the Erasmus+ programme, as well as about the opportunities offered by the European Consortium of Innovative Universities ECIU, to which Lodz University of Technology belongs. We invite not only students, but also university employees to meet at the coffee truck.

We also encourage TUL academic staff to participate in a ceremonial meeting summarizing international mobility of TUL students and staff under the Erasmus+ programme and the Education Programme in the academic years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023, which will take place on November 23 (Thursday) at. 2:00 p.m. in the IFE auditorium (ICC building). During the event, the Mobility Leaders awards will be presented and the results of the photo competition for employees of "Mobility of Leon the Lion" will be announced. Refreshments planned after the official part will be an excellent opportunity to share experiences from the trip.

Junia Graduate School of Science and Engineering (France) opens the 2023/24 call for visiting professors to take part in the teaching mobility, with the conditions described in the attached document.

Nationally, the university has also performed very well in Paper per Faculty (4th in the country), and Sustainability (6th in Poland).

Tallinn University in Estonia invites staff to participate in the Blended Intensive Programme consisting of trainings, workshops, group events, tours and presentations. The event will take place on December 11-15, 2023 and will be preceded by an online session.

St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences invites academic staff to participate in Blended Intensive Programme. The meeting is dedicated to people interested in creating human-centered digital media solutions for sustainable social development.

Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico invites academic staff to join the International Faculty Week. The event will take place on November 6-10, 2023.

International Faculty Week 2023 focuses on academic exchange and gaining international experience. Participants will have the opportunity to teach in a multicultural environment while engaging with TEC students from all areas and networking with international colleagues.

Universidad Complutense de Madrid invites staff to participate in a dynamic programme (Blended Intensive Programme) consisting of trainings, workshops, group events, tours and presentations. The event will take place from 16th till 20th October 2023. Preliminary virtual session on 4^th October.
