A Global Feast Returns – Mobility Picnic 2025 at Lodz University of Technology.

After the success of its first edition, the Mobility Picnic is coming back to Lodz University of Technology! This year, the vibrant open-air event will once again take place in the heart of the TUL campus – Klepacz Park. Organized by the International Cooperation Centre, the event continues the spirit of Mobility Week and promotes international exchange opportunities, with Erasmus+ leading the way.

The event promises an exciting lineup: mobility info booths, global cuisine prepared by international students, food trucks, yoga on the lawn, games, performances, fun activities, and a chill-out zone. It’s an invitation to the entire academic community and anyone interested in international education and cultural exchange.

ICC announces recruitment for doctoral students and academic teachers to participate in the PROM programme - Short-term academic exchange.

The Programme is implemented by Lodz University of Technology under the agreement with the National Agency for Academic Exchange and is financed from the European Union funds as part of the NAWA project entitled “Short-term academic exchange as a way to improve the quality of education at institutions of higher education and science” with the number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0218/23.

Project objectives:

  • development of the internationalization of TUL through the implementation of short-term scholarship exchange of doctoral students and academic teachers
  • increase in the number of completed outgoing and incoming mobilities
  • acquisition of competencies by participants
  • increase in the quality of education at the university.

Number of mobilities available: 100, including:

  • 60 outgoing mobilities, including doctoral students (50) and academic teachers (10) of TUL to foreign institutions, and
  • 40 incoming mobilities, including doctoral students (35) and academic teachers (5) from foreign institutions to TUL.

Mobility implementation period: until September 30th, 2025

Destination/home countries: the whole world

Financing for the participant:

  • travel costs from 1.000 to 6.500 PLN
  • subsistence and accommodation costs from 1.500 to 18.000 PLN
  • scholarship from 625 to 7.500 PLN
  • conference fee (optional)

In the event of a decision to interrupt the stay at a foreign higher education institution, the student shall be obliged to send a statement on the interruption of his/her stay with a justification to erasmus@info.p.lodz.pl and to submit the documents referred to below, section 4, which are necessary to accept the costs incurred until the interruption of his/her stay. 3. in addition, the student is obliged to fulfil reporting obligations resulting from agreements

Due to the increased epidemiological risk and suspension of classes at Lodz University of Technology starting from March 12, 2020, we would like to convey the following:

1. the office hours of offices serving IFE students are subject to change. The offices will be open according to the following schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00 - 11:00, Wednesday - Offices are closed;

2. in order to deal with all students matters it is recommended to contact us by phone or email;

3. please send all application forms by email;

4. electronic student ID cards will be valid without having to extend their validity at dean's offices. Within a few days, a regulation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education will be issued, which will extend the validity of the electronic student ID cards until May 31, 2020;

5. persons who returned from a foreign country (including private trips) may enter Lodz University of Technology premise only after completing a minimum of 14-day quarantine;

6. students who are undergoing student exchange may at any time decide to stay at the host university in accordance with its recommendations or return to Poland in order to continue studying at Lodz Univeristy of Technology and join the ongoing classes;

7. all forms of student mobility (studying abroad and internships) are suspended until further notice;

8. further decisions regarding solutions related to the prevention and eradication of COVID-19 at the Lodz University of Technology will be forwarded in the form of Communications from the Rector of the Lodz University of Technology. Please check your student mail regularly and follow the information on the website.

ICC announces recruitment for students to participate in the prestigious EUREKA Project - Global Challenges, Local Solutions: Shaping Future Leaders through Knowledge and Innovation.

As part of the project, TUL is implementing the “Europe Ready Challenge” within the English-language Business, Society and Technology programme at the International Faculty of Engineering. Students will learn through Challenge-Based Learning, participate in expert-led workshops, and gain real-world experience during study visits to partner companies.

The Project aims to enhance the quality of education at TUL and increase the university's attractiveness among international students, particularly from the Asia and Oceania region.

The EUREKA project is aimed at a group of at least 60 students, including 15 from TUL and 45 from Partner universities: Avantika University, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Papua New Guinea University of Technology.

Project highlights:

  • 150 hours of educational activities in a blended learning format,
  • Study visits to local companies,
  • Collaboration with with fellow students from across the globe,
  • New competences: critical and innovative thinking, problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, intercultural competence, and leadership,
  • 6 ECTS credits and a micro-credential upon successful completion,
  • Co-financing for students from partner universities.

Programme activities:

  • online: starting in March 2026
  • on-site in Łódź: May 11 – May 29, 2026

The results of the latest edition of the international QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026 have been announced. TUL maintained its presence in the ranking, placing 381st in Europe and within the 1051–1060 range globally.

In Poland, it ranked 15th among 26 universities. The university performed best in the “Health & Wellbeing” indicator group, which assesses the institution’s commitment to improving human health and well-being (through research) as well as the welfare of staff and students. In this category, TUL ranked 356th worldwide.

This year’s edition included nearly 2,000 institutions from around the world, highlighting the growing importance of sustainability efforts in higher education. The leaders of the ranking are: Lund University (Sweden), University of Toronto (Canada), and University College London (United Kingdom). In Poland, the highest-ranked universities were: Jagiellonian University (271st), University of Warsaw (286th), and University of Gdańsk (363rd).

The QS Sustainability Ranking analyzes universities’ contributions to building a sustainable future, based on 53 indicators grouped into three areas: environmental impact, social impact, and governance.

QS World University Rankings: Sustainability evaluates universities’ actions in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance (ESG). The ranking is based on evidence of engagement—from the impact graduates have on science and technology to address climate issues, to the influence of research conducted in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals—allowing for an assessment of academic institutions’ contributions to building a sustainable future.

The European Commission has published the Call for Proposals for the Erasmus+ Programme 2026, along with a detailed schedule of application deadlines.

Deadlines for selected actions addressed to higher education institutions:

  • Mobility of individuals in the field of higher education – 19 February 2026 (Applications on behalf of Lodz University of Technology will be submitted by the International Cooperation Centre)
  • Cooperation Partnerships – 5 March 2026
  • Erasmus Mundus Action – 12 February 2026
  • Alliances for Innovation – 10 March 2026
  • Capacity Building in Higher Education – 10 February 2026

Please note that for selected Erasmus+ Actions, limits have been introduced regarding the number of applications involving a given institution, including:

  • Cooperation Partnerships – For applications submitted to National Agencies in sectors other than higher education (adult education, vocational education and training, school education, and youth), the same organization (one OID) cannot be involved in more than 10 applications in a given deadline, either as applicant or partner. This maximum number includes all applications submitted under Cooperation Partnerships across all these sectors combined.
  • Capacity Building in Higher Education – An organization cannot act as coordinator in more than 2 applications submitted under the announced call.

  • register the application in the Project Management Module available on Wikamp, no later than 5 working days before the call deadline (in accordance with Rector’s Ordinance No. 05/2022 of 20 January 2022 on the preparation and implementation of externally funded projects at Lodz University of Technology).
  • submit application documents such as the Declaration of Honour or Mandate to ICC’s International Educational Projects and Rankings Division for signature by the university authorities.

The partners of the EUREKA project met in Lodz to discuss the next steps in implementing the Intensive International Education Programme “The Europe Ready Challenge”.

At the beginning of December, the EUREKA project team – “Global Challenges, Local Solutions: Shaping Future Leaders through Knowledge and Innovation” - held a meeting at the International Cooperation Centre. The event brought together representatives of Lodz University of Technology (TUL) and partners from Avantika University (India), University Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia), and Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Papua New Guinea).

The aim of the meeting was to summarise the activities completed so far and to plan the next stages of the Intensive International Education Programme “The Europe Ready Challenge”, which will combine online classes with a three-week stay of students from partner institutions in Lodz. Based on the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) methodology, the programme will allow participants to gain practical skills by solving real-world problems in collaboration with local companies.

During the meeting, the potential of Lodz University of Technology and the partner institutions was presented, along with an overview of the CBL methodology, the programme’s key assumptions, and issues related to student recruitment and mobility arrangements.

The EUREKA project, implemented under the NAWA SPINAKER programme, aims to enhance the quality of education at Lodz University of Technology and increase the university’s attractiveness to international students, particularly from the Asia and Oceania region. Through innovative approaches and international cooperation, participants will acquire competencies valued on the global labour market, and the micro-credentials they obtain will enrich their educational and professional portfolios.

The project is implemented under the SPINAKER programme which is financed from the European Fund for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) as part of the NAWA project entitled "Support for the creation and implementation of international education programs", project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0436/23.
