Purpose of the project:
Increasing the level of internationalization of Lodz University of Technology, in particular by promoting TUL as an attractive place to study, work and conduct research for foreign students, doctoral students and staff, and by creating favorable conditions for foreigners to function and greater integration in the academic environment at TUL.
Development of the potential of the Lodz University of Technology in the field of integration of foreign students and staff from abroad by organizing integration meetings that will contribute to mutual recognition and intercultural understanding; ensuring the availability of essential information about the functioning of universities in English for English-speaking students and lecturers and creating an e-learning course preparing foreign students for a full cycle of studies to function in the academic environment of Lodz University of Technology.
Production of promotional videos that will be used to promote the educational offer of Lodz University of Technology on the Internet abroad; implementation of a promotional campaign for studies at Lodz University of Technology in cooperation with foreign bloggers and YouTubers, which will allow to reach wider target groups.
Securing service points for foreigners in TUL International Cooperation Centre against the risk of spreading the COVID-19 pandemic.

Intercultural integration meetings for students and staff of Lodz University of Technology - TUL Culture Bite / Gryz Kultury w PŁ
The aim of the task is to get to know each other and build relationships as well as intercultural integration between Polish students and employees of Lodz University of Technology and students and staff of Lodz University of Technology from abroad through participation in joint meetings and cultural and culinary events. Joint meetings will be an opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of different countries and will contribute to getting to know each other and creating intercultural bonds.
The basis for these meetings is the slogan: Food connects people when we share it! During the meetings, joint games and integration games are also planned.
The task provides for the organization of 2 series of 4 integration meetings: one series for foreign students studying in Polish and the other for foreign students studying studying in English (8 meetings in total):
■ "Organizational meeting"
provides for a meeting in a smaller group of newly admitted foreign students, Polish students and Polish administrative staff serving foreigners
■ "Christmas Dinner": an atmospheric Christmas dinner during which participants learn about Christmas/end of the year traditions (not only culinary) of different countries.
■ "Easter Breakfast": assumptions as in the 2nd meeting.
■ "Summary of the first year of studies": addressed to foreign students in their first year of studies, who will have the opportunity to informally summarize their first year at TUL.
The implementation of the task will directly contribute to the implementation of the project objectives related to the intensification of activities at Lodz University of Technology in the field of "internationalization at home", as well as better integration of foreigners (students and staff) at the university. The possibility of getting to know each other and intercultural understanding will also contribute to improving the quality of service for foreigners at the university.
Preparation of promotional films and foreign promotion of the education offer of Lodz University of Technology on YouTube and in social media (Facebook and Instagram) - YouTUL
The aim of the task is to implement on-line activities promoting the educational offer of Lodz University of Technology in order to reach potential foreign candidates from strategic for the university regions or countries.
As part of the task, a short promotional video (so-called bumper video) and a promotional spot will be professionally produced, and later used for intensive online and social media promotion.
The task is broken down into the following subtasks:
■ Lodz University of Technology will commission an external company to create a high-quality, modern and attractive bumper video (approx. 6 seconds) and a promotional spot (30 seconds long).
■ the finished videos will then be used for paid and unpaid promotion on YouTube and social media (Facebook and Instagram) systematically carried out in the period from November 2021 to May 31, 2023, in priority countries in terms of the internationalization strategy of the university, with particular emphasis on the period before the opening enrollment for studies in the summer semester 2021/2022, the winter semester 2022/2023 and the summer semester 2022/2023.

Promotion campaign of studies at the Lodz University of Technology in cooperation with foreign bloggers and YouTubers - #TULinspires
The aim of the task is to develop and implement an innovative campaign promoting Lodz University of Technology in cooperation with bloggers / youtubers among potential foreign candidates from priority for the universities regions or countries.
By establishing cooperation with young and opinion-forming people, the university will be able to more effectively reach a potential target group and gain greater interest of foreign candidates in its offer.
The following subtasks will be completed as part of the task:
■ preparation of detailed requirements and a promotional campaign plan
■ selecting bloggers who will meet the requirements of the adopted strategy and determining the content and scope of promotional activities
■ ordering a promotion service with a foreign intermediary company in cooperation with bloggers
■ implementation of promotional activities
■ evaluation of the effectiveness of the implemented promotional activities.
The task will contribute to increasing the TUL's potential in the field of foreign promotion with new, innovative methods of acquiring candidates for studies from abroad and increasing the range of promotional activities of the university among potential candidates.
E-learning course preparing foreign students studying for a full cycle to function in the academic environment of TUL - WelcomeToTUL / WitajNaPŁ
The aim of the task is to develop and launch an e-learning course entitled "Welcome to TUL / Witaj na PŁ" preparing foreign students, admitted to the full cycle of 1st and 2nd degree studies conducted in Polish and English, to function in the academic environment in Poland, in particular at Lodz University of Technology.
The assumption of the course will be to introduce foreigners to the issues of academic culture, specific regulations and principles of the functioning of higher education in Poland and practical communication skills in the academic environment. The course will be prepared in two language versions, Polish and English, and will be available all year round on the WIKAMP university platform.
The course will be aimed primarily at new students and students admitted in the academic year 2022/23 and will be adapted for independent implementation.
The task will be implemented through:
■ developing a detailed program of the "Welcome to TUL / Witaj na PŁ" course
■ preparation of an e-learning course in accordance with the rules developed by the E-learning Center of Lodz University of Technology
■ launching the course on the WIKAMP platform
■ promotion of the course among foreign students at the university.
The implementation of the task will contribute directly to facilitating the integration of foreign students in the academic environment at TUL by familiarizing them with the principles and practical aspects of functioning and communication at the university. Moreover, it will contribute to increasing the organizational potential of TUL in the field of servicing foreign students.
Ensuring the availability of relevant information on the functioning of the university in English
The aim of the task is to translate into English the current content, information and documents necessary for foreigners, students and staff to function at the university.
The translated content will be made available on an ongoing basis on the following websites: the English-language main website of Lodz University of Technology, the English-language website of the International Cooperation Centre, in social media (the English-language fanpage of Lodz University of Technology, Erasmus of Lodz University of Technology, etc.).
Securing service points for foreigners in ICC against the risk of spreading the COVID-19 pandemic
The aim of the task is to ensure greater safety for students and foreign staff, as well as for people serving them at the TUL International Cooperation Centre, and to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in places where there are a greater number of people. This applies in particular to rooms and direct service points for foreigners: above all, the Student Assistance Office (as a single service point, which acts as a Welcome Center for foreign students at TUL), Student Mobility Division, Staff Mobility Division, classrooms in the International Faculty of Engineering, concierge and dressing room).
The purchase of additional security measures will contribute to enabling the functioning and improvement of the safety of student services and classes.
