Charlize Houdegbe: Change can be a scary thing but it also encourages you to grow.

Why did you choose Lodz University of Technology and this particular field of study?

My mom had studied here and this is reason why I chose to study at Lodz University of Technology. I was also curious as to where and why she praised this place so much, though I also came because of my major, there are no such field of study in my country and I really wanted to study Business Society and Technology.

What are you most passionate about in your studies?

I tend to be passionate when it comes to Mathematics I truly find interesting and fun to learn.

What do you like most about Poland?

There are a number of things that I enjoy. Mostly I’d say that easy access to move from one place to another. What is more… I truly enjoy the food for example Pierogi.

How would you encourage other candidates to apply to Lodz University of Technology?

I’d tell them that change can be a scary thing but it also encourages you to grow and at the Lodz University of Technology you’ll find plenty of friends. The professors are pretty open so if you have questions about anything, never hesitate they are flexible to your needs.

Why is it worth studying at TUL?

There is diversity of many cultures, students are friendly. The programmes that TUL offers, are very interesting. I personally find the ERASMUS intriguing, because it gives you the opportunity to go and learn other cultures at the same time studying.

What was the most challenging part of your studies?

I had taken a gap year so going back to school while I had forgotten some materials was challenging at the beginning but I picked up the pace.

If you could choose one word to describe your studies…?

Interesting.
