The difficult situation in Europe regarding COVID-19 and the still high number of people in hospitals in Poland mean that it is necessary to extend the applicable restrictions related to the pandemic until January 31. • Border crossing and international traffic restrictions apply.

Return of grades 1-3 to schools

There are sanitary guidelines and a schedule for conducting screening tests for SARS-Cov-2 for teachers in grades 1-3 of primary schools. The Ministry of Science and Education held a series of talks with the superintendents of education, the Advisory Board for safety in education, the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the Ministry of Health.

The return of students of grades 1-3 to schools will take place on January 18 under strict sanitary regime. The guidelines are largely based on the records already known from September 2020. Teachers can perform a PCR test to detect coronavirus in sanitary inspection units and at drive thru points. Lists of points and times of sampling from teachers and school staff will be published on the websites of Provincial Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations and County Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is ongoing

We have an effective weapon in the fight against the virus - the vaccine. The difficult time of the pandemic will end with each new person vaccinated. Until a large part of the population is vaccinated against the coronavirus, we will still have to follow basic safety rules.

Currently, our country is in the top 10 in terms of the number of vaccinations performed in the European Union. In Poland, over 200,000 have already been vaccinated. people.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister has launched the website gov.pl/szczepimysie, where comprehensive and verified information on the vaccine is available. For citizens, there is also a free, 24-hour helpline of the National COVID-19 Immunization Program, available at 989.
