Why did you decide to study Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology?

I've wanted to be an engineer ever since I can remember. In high school, I chose a technical profile – technician of machines and industrial devices, so the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was just perfect for me. I was also attracted by the possibility of comprehensive development – I wanted to join scientific clubs that carry out a lot of research and allow me to pursue my own interests. And why Lodz University of Technology? The answer is simple. It is a university characterised by high standards among other universities of technology, recognized in the European arena for its international projects, in which both staff and students successfully participate.

What is it like to study Mechanical Engineering?

Studying at this field is a great adventure in which you will get to know the engineering world millimetre by millimetre. You will acquire knowledge in every sphere of mechanics, without exception. You will participate in laboratory activities where you can put your knowledge into practice. You will learn how to apply mathematical formulas and concepts when creating your own assemblies of parts or entire machines. These studies will certainly not let you get bored at any stage of your engineering career.

What kind of job can I do after graduating from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering?

After graduating from Mechanical Engineering, you can find a job in nearly any field of industry, from design and maintenance positions to conducting research or managing scientific projects in the laboratory. For me, studying Mechanical Engineering is like discovering myself. With every passing year, I find other areas of mechanics that fascinate me and only at the end of this path will I decide where I will work.

What do you value most about studying at TUL?

The greatest advantage of studying at Lodz University of Technology is the possibility of development in numerous scientific clubs and the opportunity to meet people with whom you can share your passion. The modern didactic base is also remarkable - Lodz University of Technology has a lot of specialist equipment and many research stations, which you can use in your work or projects. The library at Lodz University of Technology is also a great asset, as it has thousands of publications that you won't find online or which would be very expensive to access. For me, studying is about creating my own personality, and Lodz University of Technology provides great conditions for that.
