US News Best Global Universities Rankings
US News Best Global Universities Ranking is prepared by an American company U.S. News & World Report, which publishes information, rankings and analyses on various subject areas, not only in the field of education.
The 2,000 top institutions included in the overall Best Global Universities 2023 ranking - an increase from 1,750 last year – spread accross 95 countries, up from 90. Developing a pool of 2,011 institutions was the first stage in creating these rankings, which are driven by Clarivate. This pool was then used to rank the top 2,000 HEIs. The universities were evaluated within 13 indicators that measure their academic research performance and their global and regional reputations.
In the 2023 edition 43 Polish HEIs were included, comparing to 37 universities in the 2022 edition. Lodz University of Technology was ranked 20th in Poland, 513th in Europe and 1394th in the world. In the subject classification TUL was ranked 169th in Polymer Science, 524th in Engineering, 700th in Materials Science and 777th in Chemistry.
