Staff mobility is implemented within the framework of Action 1 of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme supporting educational exchange, which is a continuation of European educational programmes implemented since 1998. Its aim is to support pupils, students, teachers, lecturers and volunteers in conducting international projects aimed at raising competences.

The 2021-2027 programme has an estimated budget of 26.2 billion euro.

Universities may receive funding from the European Commission for staff mobility projects between programme countries and between partner countries.
