Announcement of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs of Lodz University of Technology of July 20, 2020 on the organization of and participation in written examinations and assessments and on the organization of and participation in classroom-based classes held on the premises of Lodz University of Technology during the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 21/2020 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of March 9, 2020 on special measures to prevent, counteract and combat COVID-19 at Lodz University of Technology in conjunction with § 1 section 1 point 1 and section 2 of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of October 30, 2018 on ensuring safe and hygienic conditions of work and education at higher education institutions (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 2090) and Article 3 of the Act of March 2, 2020 on special measures to prevent, counteract and combat COVID-19, other infectious diseases, and emergency situations triggered by them (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 374, as amended)

guided by the responsibility to ensure the safety of students, doctoral students, and employees on the premises of Lodz University of Technology

I. I bind employees, doctoral students and students of Lodz University of Technology to comply with the rules for the organization of and participation in written examinations and assessments conducted on the premises of the University and the rules for the organization of and participation in classroom-based classes at the University in the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19, as laid down in Appendices 1, 2, 3, 4 to this Announcement, i. e. in:

  1. Recommendations for the organizers of classroom-based classes conducted on the premises of Lodz University of Technology in the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19.
  2. Recommendations for the administrators of examinations/assessments held on the premises of Lodz University of Technology in the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in connection with the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19.
  3. Rules for the participation of students/doctoral students taking part in classroom-based classes held on the premises of Lodz University of Technology during the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19 (Appendix No. 3).
  4. Rules for the participation of students/doctoral students in written examinations / assessments administered on the premises of Lodz University of Technology during the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19 (Appendix No. 4).

II. I set down as a precondition for participation in classes, examinations, and assessments conducted on the premises of Lodz University of Technology in the period of restrictions on the functioning of the University in relation to the prevention, counteracting, and combating COVID-19, a requirement for students and doctoral students to make a statement on the absence of health concerns precluding their participation in classroom-based classes on the premises of the University and on their informed consent to participate in classroom-based classes on the premises of the University as specified in Appendices No. 5 and 6 to this Announcement, i.e. in:

  1. Statement  from a student/doctoral student taking part in classes held on the premises of Lodz University of Technology during the period of restrictions on the functioning of the university in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19 (Appendix No. 5).
  2. Statement from a student/doctoral student taking an examination/assessment administered on the premises of Lodz University of Technology during the period of restrictions on the functioning of the university in relation to the prevention, counteracting and combating COVID-19 (Appendix No. 6).
